Today we got the official release of HTC One and new Samsung galaxy tablets and now we have got new nexus 7. Yes, Google will now be unveiling upgraded Nexus 7 next week at an event in San Francisco on July 24. Google has begun sending invites to the media for the event which will be hosted by the android chief Sundar pichai. Again the Google has collaborated with Asus for new nexus 7.
The new nexus 7 is almost identical to the current one with some minor changes at the edges and it may have two speakers instead of one which will surely enhance the audio capabilities of the device. It seems that android central has been able to get their hands on the device (see the image above) but no one is sure whether it's the final one or not.
Expected specs of the new nexus tablet:
1. Snapdragon S4 processor.
2. In addition to front 1.2 MP camera, new nexus has a rear camera of 5 MP.
3. We are not sure whether it will be 4.2.2 or 4.3 android. But we surely expect android 4.3 glimpses as we saw in Google edition of HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4.
4. Also this time it is expected to be priced around $229 for 16 GB and $279 for 32 GB variant, a little higher than the previous but still fairly priced as compared to other overly priced tablets in the market. Again, Google justifies its statement of power pack Nexus devices at low prices.
5. The so-called prototype variant is also rumored to have 4 GB RAM. Again we cant be sure on this as we don't know its a prototype or finished one.
